This Desert Life

Just a sidebar as we await the re-start of the NHL season. This is a shot taken Sunday from the back 40 (feet) here at Chateau CasonBlog. I hear the term "global warming" is being replaced by "global climate change." That term seems to work better here in the Sonoran Desert.

Sweet lord, that's a beautiful view. I'm coming down for a visit and multiple tequila shots, mmm'kay?

With no natural plantlife taller that around 20 feet, anybody can have a view out here. Not a loblolly pine or sweet gum tree within 1,000 miles.

That's'a pretty awesome vista, Mr. Cason (coming from a guy who grew up in the American West, who still pines for it, and who settles instead for the lovely-in-its-own-way Carolinas)!

Very nice--I suggest you save this picture to show to anyone who says "durrr, hockey doesn't belong in any place where it doesn't snow!"

You guys got snow?!?!?

All I got was a thick sheet of ice on my car where my door froze shut.
